This office is a modern and innovative five-storey office building for the Ghana Enterprises Agency, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Located in the civic hub of Acca, it covers an approximate area of 1500 square meters. The purpose of the structure is to accommodate administrative activities of the Agency. In contract to most public buildings, the design concept offers a transparent and welcoming approach to users of the facility. Offices are designed as to be mostly barrier free using the open plan concept. The design stems from a desire to promote wellness by incorporating greenery, natural ventilation, views, controlled daylight and a variety of amenities. green areas and terraces provide space for staff to gather and socialise. The roof terrace is a primary shared spaces for all workers. They offer spectacular views of the surrounding areas such as the Kempinski Hotel and National Children’s Park and facilitate a wide range of activities such as dining experiences and social occasions. The project reduces embodied carbon by minimising the use of concrete during construction. The entire superstructure, located above ground has extensive Low E curtain wall glazing allowing in maximum daylight and reducing operational expenses
